Kraurosis vulvae (lichen sclerosus et atrophicus) is a chronic and difficult to treat condition which causes marked itching. The corresponding condition in men is balanitis xerotica obliterans. Tacrolimus has been added to the conventional treatment regime consisting of highly potent topical corticosteroids.
