Sequela of an upper and lower temporal branch retinal vein occlusion in the right eye. The site of the occlusion is seen in the upper part of the picture, together with the venous trunk and its branches which are visualized as light-coloured and non-perfused. The wall reflex is enhanced in the arteries also, especially in the upper temporal branch. Tortuous shunt vessels, some bleeding and a microinfarction on the upper temporal side of the macula are seen as well. A clear crossing sign is seen in the lower temporal venous branch; the venous circulation is disturbed in this area as well, which has led to neovascularisation. The new vessels are associated with light-coloured scarring and bleeds.
