Bone structure and mineral density of the ankle are normal. The joint space is narrow at the medial side, and the articular margin is medially somewhat sharpened. There is osteophyte formation at the medial malleolus, as well as slight calcification at the lateral joint space. Also ventral tibia and the small joints of the ankle show substantial osteophyte formation. There is considerable spur formation and soft tissue calcification underneath the sole.
