"Skin tag" is the most common name for these benign skin projections with a stalk. They may be skin-coloured or brown, and the form may vary from "mouse nipples" with a diameter of a couple of millimetres to soft ball-shaped pouches with a diameter of one centimetre. The easiest way to remove the moles is to snip them off with scissors along the skin, which can as well be performed without local anaesthesia. The neck and the armpits are the favourite locations because the continuous slight friction stimulates their growth. Overweight is a predisposing factor.
