Seborrhoeic dermatitis in the groin (as well as in the axilla) is manifested as a reddish, sometimes a somewhat moist patch that may raise the suspicion of groin ringworm. As a matter of fact, fungal culture may be necessary to exclude ringworm. Seborrhoeic dermatitis in the scalp and facial area with a more scaly appearance supports the diagnosis.
