Pigmented purpuric dermatitis is most common in the lower extremities. Sometimes this symptomless and harmless purpuric eruption may also appear in the upper extremities and on the trunk. Spot-like petechiae are seen in the skin, often arranged in small clusters. The pigment marks may be visible for a long time. Increased venous pressure and strain may be precipitatory factors.
