Hyperkeratinization on the foot in front of the lateral malleolus, caused by continuous minor rubbing of a shoe. The condition is typical especially in young men wearing jogging shoes. The skin is thickened and a lense-like resistance is felt by palpation. The skin is yellow-brownish due to pigmentation. No therapy is usually needed.
