Comedonal acne on the forehead of an adolescent. Numerous open and closed comedones (blackheads and whiteheads) are present but hardly any inflammatory changes. Regular topical treatment for months with e.g. retinoids will produce results, but motivation is needed to overcome the initial stage of skin irritation.
