Stasis dermatitis (eczema staticum) is common in venous insufficiency. Although topical corticoids are necessary in therapy, more important is a regular use of supporting bandages or stockings which are chosen individually. Cooperation of a GP, a dermatologist and a vascular surgeon leads to best results. Contact allergies to many therapeutic agents are not uncommon.
