In the literature, this type of lesion is referred to as a capillary or cavernous haemangioma (CH). An elevated, aesthetically and even mechanically disturbing CH may be present at birth or develop during the first weeks or months. The skin surface may be broken. CH normally requires no treatment but disappears spontaneously within the first years, although it will leave a light scar.
