Solar keratosis is the result of life-long sun exposure. Skin changes with reddish, rough skin surface, often multiple, and which are non-responding to topical corticoids, are usually solar (actinic) keratosis. In the case shown here the treatment method of choice is cryosurgery with liquid nitrogen. In more widespread cases a good alternative is photodynamic therapy.
