Molluscum contagiosum. The tumour at the margin of the upper eyelid is molluscum contagiosum. The patient is an elderly female on cytostatic medication. Molluscum contagiosum in adult patients should lead to the consideration of the possibility of an immunologic disturbance. However, AIDS cannot be diagnosed on the presence of molluscum contagiosum alone! The majority of adult patients with molluscae are otherwise healthy.
