The patient is a slender girl in good physical condition who was referred for investigations because of a murmur. On auscultation a typical early and midsystolic low vibrating murmur is best heard at the left fourth intercostal space and the apex. Blood pressure measurements, ECG and echocardiography findings are all normal. Phonogram shows a rising and falling early-midsystolic murmur, spectrogram shows a typical dense configuration and a descending frequency, with a maximum gradient of approx. 150 Hz. Age 7.4 years, height 115.1 cm, weight 17.5 kg. Auscultation area: left fourth intercostal space (LIC4)
