This erythema migrans (3 x 8 cm) appeared 3 weeks after a tick bite near the elbow. The age of the patch was 3 weeks when the picture was taken. Borreliosis (B. afzelii) was verified (for research purposes) by culture from a biopsy taken from the lesion.
