Multiple milia are small epidermal cysts that contain keratinous material. In this case the number of milia on a small circumscribed area is exceptionally large. No obvious reason was found; this phenomenon has been called "milia en plaque". The individual lesions can be incised and emptied and topical tretinoin may be tried.
