Stasis purpura on the leg of a male patient with venous insufficiency. The skin symptoms and oedema disappeared after venous vascular operation of the Linton-type. If operative treatment is not possible, supportive bandages or stockings should be used regularly during daytime. Often this is also necessary and nearly always recommendable after the operation.
