Haemangioma of the tongue is not very uncommon, but it seldom reaches the measure of several centimetres as in this case. This benign vascular tumour even led to difficulties in speaking, a remarkable burden for a middle-aged lady! Liquid nitrogen cryosurgery performed with a closed probe in two sessions at 1-month interval, brought good results: the patient could even whistle afterwards. There is some pain and tenderness in the tongue for a few weeks after the freezing procedure.
