Solar cheilitis in the lower lip. Solar cheilitis relatively heavily affecting the lower lip (the shadow side - the upper lip - is always saved). This disease is analogue of actinic keratosis. Often the easiest way to cure the condition is liquid nitrogen cryosurgery. The vigorous technique needed tends to cause considerable discomfort for a month or so.
