Glucagonoma syndrome with excess glucagon produced by a malignant pancreatic tumour, may mimic acrodermatitis enteropathica due to zinc deficiency. This case was inoperable, but therapy with octreotid (Sandostatin) led to prompt cure of skin symptoms.
