Mucocele is a pseudocyst of the labial mucosa caused by trauma to the glandular structures. It contains clear mucous material. The cyst may be excised or alternatively treated with liquid nitrogen cryosurgery, as was done in this case. A simple puncture for emptying the cyst does not lead to permanent cure.
