Morbus Ritter, Pemphigus neonatorum, in adults called Staphylococcal Scalded Skin Syndrome. The toxin of certain strains of S. aureus may lead to superficial epidermal detachment, a painful, serious looking disease. The prognosis is good, however, and healing takes place without scar formation.
