Nodular type of erythema multiforme on the back of the hand. Diagnosis in this subtype of erythema multiforme may be difficult if other skin areas are not studied. Recovery is usually spontaneous, but recurrence is possible, especially if the reaction is provoked by recurrent HSV infection.
