Bullous pemphigoid in an elderly man. Tense bullae tend to be more common on the trunk and proximal extremities. Immunohistopathology is specific, and antibodies to basal membrane are found in many patients. Oral and/or topical corticosteroids will prevent the development of new blisters in most cases.
