Keloid at the site of a "cosmetic" excision of a small nevus. In persons prone to keloid formation, the most risky skin regions are the mid-chest, shoulder area and the ears. Treatment of keloids may be frustrating. Simple excision should be strictly avoided because it tends to result in a bigger keloid scar.
