Rosacea affects both men and women in their middle ages. Usually the teleangiectasias, small pustules, and in some cases also papules, are most numerous on the central facial area. Sometimes also extrafacial skin areas are affected (e.g. pubic region), and it is also good to keep in mind that rosacea may affect eyes (e.g. keratitis). Oral tetracyclines and topical metronidazole are beneficial in most cases.
