Psoriatic lesions on scalp skin are common near the hair margins. Here the silvery scales are exceptionally widely visible, even outside the hair margin. Often, as here, the red background is wider than the scaling. Differential diagnosis between psoriasis and seborrhoeic dermatitis is often difficult, even impossible, if only the scalp is affected.
