Psoriasis on the extensor aspect of the arm shows thickened, red, sharply limited area with different degrees of silvery scaling. Itching is variable, but usually less severe than in dermatitis. Generally other skin areas such as the knees, buttocks, scalp, sometimes also the nails, are also affected.
