Зображення 00068. Nummular dermatitis and nodular prurigo

The clinical picture of this disease was a mixture of grave nummular dermatitis and nodular prurigo. The lesions were very itchy. The recurrent eruption responded satisfactorily only to a combination of oral and topical corticosteroids. Antihistamines, UV therapy, and cryotherapy of individual lesions were of little benefit. The patient is a heavy smoker which may play a role in the chronic character of this disease.
