Seborrhoeic dermatitis is common in hairy scalp. Often it can extend outside the hair margin. The reddish skin, smaller flakes than in psoriasis and typical itching skin changes in other common areas of seborrhoeic dermatitis can confirm the diagnosis, although overlapping symptoms with psoriasis often occur.
