Seborrhoeic dermatitis on the preauricular and scalp area is very common. The scaling is finer than in psoriasis and the response to topical therapy is more complete. If the lesions are only on the scalp area, differential diagnosis between seborrhoeic dermatitis and psoriasis may be difficult.
