The penis is the target of many common skin diseases. In this case the patch is (a part of patient's) seborrheic dermatitis. Cure was rapid with a 1-week course of a semi-potent corticosteroid. Because patients generally fear any deviation from normal in this skin region it is important to reach a correct diagnosis without delay. Differential diagnostics include Erythroplasia Queyrat – Bowen's disease of the glans region – that can be identified with biopsy only and is treated by a specialist.
