This child was followed up earlier for a muscular VSD that closed spontaneously. A murmur is still heard. Echocardiography shows a clinically insignificant, yet larger than physiological tricuspid regurgitation. A tricuspid click is also heard. The murmur is softer and of lower frequency than in mitral regurgitation. Both auscultation and phono- and spectrograms give the impression that the sound in physiological, however, the tricuspid click is heard and seen at times. The finding is haemodynamically insignificant. Age 7.6 years, height 127.0 cm, weight 22.0 kg. Area of auscultation: left third ic (LIC3).
