This healthy full-term baby was found to have a systolic murmur on health check at discharge from the maternity hospital. Echocardiography showed stenosis of the left pulmonary artery and a flow gradient of approx. 40 mmHg. On auscultation the child had a third-degree pansystolic murmur. The phonogram configuration matches stenosis, on spectrogram the frequency is almost 600 Hz. In a baby the stenosis of the left pulmonary artery usually disappears spontaneously during the first year of life. Age 0.0 years, height 54.0 cm, weight 4.0 kg. Area of auscultation: left second ic (LIC2).
