This child is followed up for mild coarctation of the aorta. No hypertension, no difference in blood pressure between upper and lower extremities. No intracardial defect. Echocardiography shows a local narrowing in the descending aorta with mild turbulence and flow velocity of 2.2 m/s. On auscultation a second-degree systolic stenosis-type coarse murmur is best heard on the back. However, this recording has been made from the left third ic. The stenosis is not too tight, and the decision to operate is postponed. Phonogram contains a typical stenosis sound, and the highest frequencies in the spectrogram are over 350 HZ, which is in accordance with increased flow. Age 2.5 years, height 97.0 cm, weight 15.0 kg. Area of auscultation: left third ic (LIC3).
