Зображення 00946. Sclerotic basal cell carcinoma on the nose

An extensive basal cell carcinoma growing on the bridge of the nose in a sclerotic or scarred fashion is poorly detectable to the naked eye. A plaque-like hardening of the skin is palpable and discernible as a light-coloured consolidation when the skin is stretched. Telangiectases elsewhere on the face are misleading; this patient was initially treated for rosacea.
