Ulcus rodens, ulcerating basal cell carcinoma on the base of the nose. A location close to the medial canthus of the eye is a remarkable risk factor. The spread of the tumour to cartilagineous tissue may lead to loss of the eye. Surgery with strict microscopic control (Mohs' technique) is preferred.
