Dermatitis herpetiformis forms itchy vesicles on elbows, knees, the sacral region, sometimes also on other skin areas. The patients have almost invariably atrophy of duodenal villi. Dapson heals the skin lesions rapidly, but the patients should be advised to follow a gluten-free diet.
