Toxic dermatitis on the dorsal aspect of the fingers - a typical phenomenon in atopic ladies who do household work involving exposure to water. Protection of the hands against irritants is recommended, and topical corticosteroids and emollients are usually beneficial. The possibility of a contact allergy should be investigated by patch testing.
