Polyarteritis nodosa cutanea, visible on the skin of the arm in a middle aged woman. The findings comprise cutaneous/subcutaneous nodules, red or red-blue in colour, moderately painful on pressure. Often livedo reticularis is seen. The disease is more common in the lower extremities. Biopsy is helpful in diagnosis. Recovery is spontaneous, but the lesions respond rapidly to oral corticosteroids.
