Psoriasis in the scalp area very often affects the rim of the hairy area in frontal, periauricular, and neck skin. The scaly lesions often extend outside the hair-covered skin, as seen here. Topical liniments with corticosteroids and/or calcipotriol usually give sufficient relieve of the symptoms. The disease does not affect hair growth.
