Atopic dermatitis on the dorsal aspect of the hands in a young boy. The symptoms are exceptionally prominent, which gives reason to perform skin testing e.g. for possible immediate-type animal allergy. Delayed contact allergy is less common in this age group. In any case, therapy includes the use of topical corticoids and emollients.
